The MAC System (Magaldi Ash Cooler System) developed by Italy's Magaldi Industrie Srl is a mechanical handling system cooling bottom ash by air with no cooling water required.

Features
1.Dry bottom ash handling system without using water
You can reduce costs due to a drastically simplified facility configuration without the need of cooling water or a circulating water system. You can recover heat from bottom ash heat, unburned carbon's reaction heat and radiant heat from a furnace.
2.Expansion of the effective use of bottom ash
You can make effective use of bottom ash in a dry condition with fewer unburned contents along with fly ash.
Handling System
Bottom ash drops in a steel transition hopper coated with a refractory material. The transition hopper absorbs the shock of bottom ash's direct drop to the MAC extractor conveyor. Bottom ash is conveyed to a primary crusher while being cooled by air on the MAC extractor conveyor.
