Boosting Fuel Efficiency

For aircraft to have high fuel efficiency, it is important to increase the propulsion efficiency of aircraft engines, in addition to improving aerodynamics and lightening the airframe weight.
KHI is participating in the joint international development and production of the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine and is in charge of the processes from design to manufacturing and assembly of the intermediate pressure compressor (IPC) module in the engine core.
This engine has higher propulsion efficiency as it has the highest bypass ratio among the Trent series of engines and a better pressure ratio and efficiency, thanks to the adoption of the latest 3D blade design and other technologies as well.
