Supercharged Engines for Motorcycles

To provide its motorcycle customers with unprecedented acceleration, KHI is proud to have launched the Ninja H2R, which is the world's first mass-produced motorcycle to use KHI's new 998-cm3 four-cylinder engine equipped with a mechanical centrifugal supercharger.
This engine generates an overwhelming 228 kW (310 PS) and realizes impressive acceleration with a maximum speed that easily surpasses 300 km/h.
Our proprietary supercharger is capable of supplying the engine with approximately 200 L of air per second at a pressure of over 2.4 atm.
The flow rate at the supercharger's inlet reaches 100 m/s.
Based on our gas turbine technology, the supercharger's specialized design offers features such as extremely high compression efficiency and overheating prevention.
We also utilize our technology for gas engines, which deliver the highest power generation efficiency in the world, to suppress knocking during high output operations.
Providing advanced matching and improved efficiency, our design for an integrated supercharged engine proves the strong organizational structure of our conglomerate.
Going forward, KHI aims to produce other models of this engine, including one that offers not only high performance but also excellent fuel efficiency.
