Gas to Gasoline(GTG) Plant

This plant produces high-quality gasoline using natural gas as a raw material.

Kawasaki is the only company which accomplished the construction of commercial plant with facilities of synthetic gas production applying autothermal reforming (ATR) technology, methanol production (1.7 billion t/year), and gasoline production (600 thousand t/year) all together in such big scale.

This plant consists of three process sections: synthetic gas production, methanol synthesis, and gasoline synthesis. In addition, ancillary facility includes water treatment unit, cooling water system, air separation unit, boiler equipment, power generation equipment, flare equipment, wastewater treatment unit, product storage tank, and product loading facility are installed.

Kawasaki collaborates with Haldor Topsoe A/S, which has an extensive experience in oil refining and synthetic gas processes.

• GTG gasoline does not contain lead and sulfur and does not emit harmful substances when burned.
• It contains few impurities and is a high-quality gasoline that complies with the strict environmental regulations of various countries since it is 100% synthetic gasoline.
