Tokyo, February 29, 2008 — Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced today that it will release its all new KLX250 in Japan on April 5.The KLX250 is equipped with a fuel injection system for enhanced environmental performance. The lightweight dual-purpose KLX250 is outfitted with a 249 cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder DOHC four-valve engine that provides smooth power delivery, wrapped in a highly rigid perimeter frame. Its superb on/off-road performance has earned it top marks in Japan. The new KLX250 features enhanced styling that gives it a sharper look as well as the latest in environmental performance and improved on-road capabilities Features · Equipped with a fuel injection system and honeycomb catalyst structure to comply with the new Japanese exhaust emissions standards and improve cold-start performance. Outstanding power characteristics throughout the rpm range with enhanced throttle response in the mid rpm range. · Aggressive styling with a sharp dual-lamp headlight configuration plus all new design components from front to rear fenders. · New lightweight aluminum swingarm with a D-shaped cross section that reduces unsprung weight. Front and rear suspension damping force characteristics have been optimized for enhanced on-road stability and better grip when cornering. · Newly designed multi-function LCD instrument panel equipped with a digital speedometer, digital bar graph tachometer, clock, and odometer/trip meter. |
