Tokyo, January 28, 2008 — Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. will be exhibiting its snowplows jointly with its group companies, Nichijo Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Kawasaki Construction Machinery, Hokkaido Ltd., at the Josetsu Kikai Tenjikai (a snow removal equipment trade show) to be held on January 31 and February 1 in Chitose, Hokkaido.

One of the four featured models is Kawasaki’s 55DV high-speed snow dozer equipped with a long sliding blade. The 55DV boasts twice the acceleration speed of conventional wheeled snow dozers, with a traffic-friendly top speed of 49 kph. The HTR83 is a compact 68 kW class rotary snowplow with a clearing width of 1.3 m. It is suitable for clearing sidewalks and narrow roads.
