Tokyo, February 14, 2006 – Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced today that the W400, a new sport motorcycle, will be released nationwide on March 20.

Designed to meet the style demands of the most selective riders, the W400 features a simple yet classy profile and a high-end surface finish. With a low 765 mm seat and a new air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC 4-valve, parallel twin-cylinder, 399 cm3 engine, the bike also achieves ease of maneuverability.

The engine is elegantly shaped and employs a distinctive driveshaft with a bevel gear-driven camshaft. The semi-raised handlebars allow various riding positions, perfect for inner-city rides, touring and many other occasions. Large, slim tires, 19 inch on the front and 18 inch on the back, contribute to stylishness and nimble handling, thus heightening riding enjoyment.

Displaying the finest craftsmanship, the W400 is also equipped with stylishly thin electrically operated speedometer and tachometer, and parts that are buffed, chromed or with an anticorrosion finish. All this, combined with its refined appearance, assures Kawasaki's latest sport motorcycle will deliver immense joy of ownership.
