Kawasaki’s six new 2005 model motorcycles were well received at INTERMOT München 2004 held in Germany over five days starting on September 15.
At the exhibit, Kawasaki unveiled the Ninja ZX-6R and Ninja ZX-6RR (designed for No. 1 performance on the circuit) new models of the Supersport series, and the Z750S as a new Sports model.
The company also unveiled the VN1600 Classic Tourer, a cruiser model based on the VN1600 Classic that further improves the comfort of tandem touring. Kawasaki also exhibited the new KLE500 model dual-purpose motorcycle, which has become increasingly popular in Europe, as well as the KX250 model dedicated to motocross racing.
•Ninja ZX-6R
A middlerange motorcycle in the Ninja Series that is representative of Kawasaki’s Supersport models, the Ninja ZX-6R, has improved driving performance. This has been realized through a full upgrade to engine and chassis including an upgaraded liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve 636cm3 In-Line Four engine that incorporates new oval-shaped sub-throttle valves (first ever in its class) fed by dual injectors, and newly-shaped direct-action brake master cylinders. The motorcycle realizes a compact and dynamic styling that boasts the most aerodynamic performance in its class.
•Z750S
This is a new variation model developed based on the Z750, which enjoys a solid reputation as a stylish, high-performance Kawasaki Sports motorcycle. Equipped with a newly-designed half-cowling, a comfortable new one-piece tandem seat and grab bars increasing passenger stability and security, while the style gives the impression of speed and smoothness. Moreover, the efficient liquid-cooled DOHC 4-valve 748cm3 In-Line Four engine shared with the Z750 achieves powerful torque and excellent response at all rpm.
