Kawasaki unveiled six new models for 2003 at the world's largest motorcycle show, INTERMOT München 2002, held in Munich, Germany for five days beginning September 18.

Making their debuts in the super sportbike class were the Ninja ZX-6R and Ninja ZX-6RR, both of which are expected to be as popular in Europe as their predecessors have been. Kawasaki designed the ZX-6R to enhance performance while reducing its weight and making it more compact. The sharp lines of the front mask and the inverted front forks make it the ultimate sportbike. The ZX-6RR, which is built to meet Super- Sport-racing applications, boasts several exclusive design features, like the backtorque limiter and a new track-oriented chassis to match the engine's progressive design.

Bike enthusiasts at the show also got their first glimpse of Kawasaki's new sports model Z1000, which boasts unique styling and enhanced handling; and its largest displacement bike, the VN1600 Classic, a cruiser with innovative styling powered by a 1522cc V-twin engine.

Kawasaki also unveiled the 2003 models of its KX250 and KX125 motocross racing bikes.
