VULCAN 1500 Mean Streak Performance Cruiser Debuts
Sep. 27, 2001
Kawasaki's new VULCAN 1500 Mean Streak motorcycle, the latest addition to its V-twin-powered cruiser lineup, recently made its debut in North America, Japan and Europe.
Since its release in 1996, the VULCAN 1500 series of American styled cruisers-featuring relaxed riding positions, four-stroke V-twin 1,470 cm3 engines, a long wheelbase and extra-rugged tires-has won over road-touring motorcyclists of all ages.
The new Mean Streak features a straight handlebar, low-slung styling and sportier riding posture. The large-diameter dual disc brake system and new radial tires also contribute to the high-performance ride.
The VULCAN 1500 Mean Streak has a customized feel because of such features as chromated body parts and new three-spoke cast wheels. The flangeless fuel tank has no visible welding, enhancing its appearance, just one of many improvements on this sure-to-be-popular new model.
