Kawasaki Reaches Settlement Agreement with RORZE Concerning Patent Infringement Litigation

Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. entered into a settlement agreement on August 3, 2026, with RORZE CORPORATION and its U.S. subsidiary, Rorze Automation, Inc. (collectively, “RORZE”), resolving the patent infringement litigation concerning U.S. patents related to semiconductor wafer handling equipment technology filed by Kawasaki against RORZE in the United States on August 30, 2022.

The pending patent infringement litigation will be dismissed pursuant to the settlement agreement. Details of the settlement agreement are not disclosed due to confidentiality obligations between the parties.

Kawasaki will continue to regard intellectual property rights as an important management asset and remain committed to enhancing corporate value through the appropriate protection and utilization of its intellectual property.
