Tokyo, February 10, 2026 — Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced that its Indian subsidiary, “Wipro Kawasaki Precision Machinery Pvt. Ltd.” (WiproKPM), which manufactures and sells hydraulic products in India, has achieved 200,000 units in cumulative shipments of hydraulic pumps and hydraulic motors to Indian domestic customers as of January 30.

WiproKPM commenced operations in December 2012 as a joint venture with the Indian company Wipro Limited (now Wipro Enterprises Private Limited) serving as a production, sales, and service base for hydraulic equipment. The joint venture was established to strengthen competitiveness in Kawasaki’s precision machinery business, which focuses primarily on hydraulic pumps and hydraulic motors for construction machinery. The company mainly supplies hydraulic equipment to domestic customers in India and has actively promoted local parts procurement and employment of local personnel, developing its business as a deeply rooted local operation.

In India, the hydraulic equipment market for construction machinery continues to expand with rapid economic development, and Indian domestic customers' evaluations of Kawasaki's product quality and reliability have been growing. In 2019, WiproKPM opened a new plant and expanded its production capacity, enabling it to respond flexibly to fluctuations in customer demand. The company has also expanded its product lineup from initially producing a single model of hydraulic excavator pump to currently producing six types of hydraulic excavator pumps, three types of hydraulic excavator motors, and one type each of backhoe loader and telehandler pumps, thereby meeting a broad range of construction machinery needs. As a result of these efforts, cumulative shipments reached 100,000 units in February 2023, and three years later, doubled to 200,000 units in January 2026.

Moving forward, Kawasaki will continue to position WiproKPM as a key production base in India, contributing to the local economy including through employment as well as advanced technological and quality capabilities, while actively expanding its business operations.
