New 2026 Z900RS SE and Z900RS CAFE to Make World Debut at Japan Mobility Show 2025 (Kawasaki Motors)
Oct. 29, 2025
Kawasaki Motors, part of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group, will showcase the Z900RS SE and Z900RS CAFE as World Premiere models at the Japan Mobility Show 2025*1, which is open to the public from Friday, October 31 at Tokyo Big Sight.
Timeless Z: Refined Performance. Since its debut in 2018, the Z900RS has earned acclaim for its perfect fusion of Kawasaki Z heritage and modern technology, achieving seven consecutive years as Japan's top-selling motorcycle in the 401cc+ class*2. For 2026, these models have further evolved.

■ Z900RS SE
The Kawasaki Z900RS is a retro sport model blending contemporary components with authentic styling. For 2026, the engine features Electronic Throttle Valves, enhancing control in the low-to-mid rpm range and improving power output at higher rpm. Rider support has also been expanded with the addition of IMU-based functions like the Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF) in addition to the latest Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS), Electronic Cruise Control and smartphone connectivity, further elevating the comfort and riding enjoyment of the Z900RS.
A newly styled megaphone muffler and reshaped exhaust header pipes further reinforce the timeless Z design philosophy and retro sport image.
The higher-grade Z900RS SE debuts with a re-imagining of the iconic “Fireball” color scheme with gold outer fork tubes contrasting the body colors, complemented by Brembo brakes and an Öhlins rear shock. The Japan model also features a front-rear drive-recorder system.
■ Z900RS CAFE
Based on the Z900RS, the Z900RS CAFE evokes the looks of superbike race machines of the past, combining a signature front cowl with a black drop handlebar and a custom seat with a more pronounced step. Graphics are applied exclusively to the fuel tank, creating a simple, sporty look that pays homage to the iconic rainbow line of Kawasaki’s legendary Mach series.
Additionally, it is adorned with a Kawasaki heritage logo unique to this model, a high-quality hairline finish on the silencer and stylish short mirrors. Its race-inspired riding position and classic styling deliver a riding experience and pride of ownership a grade above the standard model.
