The circular economy is an economic system that aims to balance economic activities and environmental conservation by designing products based on the use of recycled materials, suppressing the generation of waste, and promoting the long-term use of products to facilitate resource circulation.

Kawasaki aims to implement more than six initiatives in multiple areas, including the reduction of hazardous substances, use of recycled materials, improvement of manufacturing processes, and provision of solutions, as part of its efforts to realize a circular society. Utilizing its own technologies in energy equipment, hydraulic pumps, railway vehicles, robots, and plants, as well as leveraging industry-academia-government collaboration and open innovation, Kawasaki will continue to work on creating technologies and solutions for realizing a circular society.
