TERYX4 H2 DELUXE

Tokyo, August 1, 2025 — Kawasaki Motors, Ltd. announced the launch of its first off-road four-wheelers with supercharged engines, the TERYX4 H2, TERYX4 H2 DELUXE, and TERYX5 H2 DELUXE. These models will be available in the United States and other countries starting in August.

In recent years, the North American off-road recreation market has seen growing demand for larger, faster off-road four-wheelers. With this in mind, Kawasaki is bringing these high-performance models to market.

Kawasaki's TERYX off-road four-wheelers series is well known for sportiness, functionality, comfort, durability, and high quality in off-road recreation. These high-performance sport models with supercharged engines will be added to the lineup as the flagships of the series.

These models’ 999 cm3 In-Line Four supercharged engine delivers a maximum output of 253 PS*1, offering powerful performance and torque. The chassis has been designed to get the most from the engine's potential with a combination of long-stroke suspension and large-diameter tires. Quick steering ensures smooth handling, while large-diameter petal brake discs provide reliable braking performance.

There are three variations to choose from to suit a wide variety of needs and preferences: the TERYX4 H2 and TERYX4 H2 DELUXE seat four passengers, and the TERYX5 H2 DELUXE seats five. These models let drivers and passengers enjoy the thrill of tearing across dunes, deserts and other off-road terrain with family and friends in a spacious and comfortable cabin.

Based on Kawasaki Motors' company mission, “Working for the happiness and joy of all those whose lives Kawasaki touches,” the company aims to achieve its corporate philosophy of being the “Good Times Company” by pursuing sustainable growth. This includes enhancing the value of the Kawasaki brand, continuously launching customer-focused new models, and expanding its product lineup.

Main Features

Engine, Chassis

  1. 999 cm3 In-Line Four Supercharged Engine
These models feature a 999 cm3 liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-Line Four supercharged engine that delivers a maximum output of 186.2 kW (250 hp / 253 PS) and torque of 198.3 Nm (20.2 kgf·m). It is a specially-designed version of the Ninja H2 supercharged engine, adapted for side-by-side models. This high-performance engine enables stronger acceleration and higher speeds than other models in the TERYX series.
  2. Smooth, Linear Acceleration
A continuously variable transmission (CVT) capable of handling the high-output, high-revving nature of the supercharged engine is used. It helps to translate the engine’s massive power into forward momentum. The CVT also ensures the engine remains in the optimal power band without fluctuations in revs during gear changes, resulting in direct, linear throttle response.
  3. On-the-Fly Adjustable Drive System and Output Character
The 2WD/4WD and front differential lock can be selected electronically even while driving. Drivers can quickly and easily adjust the drive system to suit changing terrain and use cases. In addition, drivers can select power modes from Full, Mid, or Low to tailor engine performance to their riding style or terrain.
  4. High-Performance Sound
Alongside the exhilarating howl of the In-Line Four engine, the driver and passengers of the TERYX4/5 H2 experience two distinct adrenaline-pumping sounds that are signature traits of a supercharged engine. One is the chirping sound when the throttle is closed suddenly at high rpm. Also unique to the TERYX4/5 H2 is a low, growling sound, signaling that serious power is ready to be unleashed with a press of the accelerator pedal.
  5. Highly Stable Platform
The TERYX4/5 H2’s extremely rigid frame, 1,880 mm wide stance, 3,200 mm long wheelbase, and stable-feeling platform with large FOX 3.0 Internal Bypass shocks absorb the impact of obstacles and minimize the impact to the cabin. As a result, the inside of the cabin remains surprisingly comfortable even during sporty driving.
  6. Predictable Handling
When sport riding, predictable handling is important. The combination of long-stroke suspension and large-diameter tires and quick steering (the wheels reach full-lock with 0.7 rotations of the steering wheel), support the driver in tracing their intended line. Additionally, speed-sensitive electric power steering (EPS) keeps steering light, contributing to smooth, predictable handling.
  7. Confident Stopping Power
ø270 mm large-diameter petal brake discs on all four wheels deliver superb braking force, offering confident speed management when entering a corner or coming to a stop. Tailored engine braking characteristics, care of the engine and CVT settings, offer reassuring support on challenging descents—especially in Low gear—while minimizing interference with dune and desert riding.
  8. KECS with Acceleration Sensors (TERYX4 H2 DELUXE / TERYX5 H2 DELUXE)
DELUXE models enhance the TERYX4/5 H2’s ground-hugging suspension with Kawasaki Electronically Controlled Suspension (KECS). Massive FOX 3.0 Live Valve Internal Bypass shocks with electronically controlled compression damping deliver superior composure and enhanced performance across a wide range of riding situations. Acceleration sensors mounted on the suspension arms and trailing arms enable more rapid sensing of changes in the terrain, better enabling the wheels to track over the ground as the cabin remains in place.

Exterior

  1. Refined, Elegant Design
With its sleek, low-profile silhouette, it is easy to imagine the TERYX4/5 H2 flying across the desert sand. Design highlights that rise towards the rear create a forward-leaning image—like a crouching sprinter, ready to explode out of the starting blocks.
  2. Imposing Front End
The large, blacked-out front grille is flanked by aggressive LED accent lights and compact LED headlights, giving the TERYX4/5 H2 a fierce expression. The large intake scoop on the hood hints at sporty performance within, which is reinforced by the wide stance of the long suspension arms and massive shock units and tires.
  3. 3D River Mark Emblem
The Kawasaki River Mark emblem is proudly displayed on the front hood—an indication that the TERYX4/5 H2 is the flagship of the TERYX Series, and a reflection of the high level of performance, control and quality that it offers. The River Mark also adorns the steering wheel and the ignition key.
  4. Dual-Exit Exhaust
At the rear, the distinctive dual-exit exhaust is a visual cue that this is no ordinary side x side.

Interior

  1. Easy Entry and Exit
The TERYX4/5 H2 has four doors and is designed for easy entry and exit. It features door handles on both the inside and outside, making it easy to open and close. In addition, the Rollover Protection Structure (ROPS) is designed with a low silhouette in mind, while also considering head clearance.
  2. Roomy Interior for Up to Five Passengers
The roomy interior was designed with leg, knee and shoulder room in mind. In addition to a pair of high-backed bucket seats up front, two more high-backed bucket seats (TERYX4 H2, TERYX4 H2 DELUXE) or a high-backed three-person contoured sport seat (TERYX5 H2) in the rear mean that there is plenty of room for friends or family.
  3. Ergonomic Seats with 4-Point Seatbelts
The form-fitting bucket seats are slightly reclined, improving the driving position during sports riding. The flat part is wide, allowing even large passengers to sit comfortably. All seats, including the contoured sport seat equipped on the TERYX5 H2 DELUXE, are equipped with 4-point seat belts.
  4. 7” Full-Color TFT Instrumentation
Mounted on the steering column behind the steering wheel, the large 7” high-grade full-color TFT screen features a choice of display modes to offer the driver information at a glance. On DELUXE models, drivers can also monitor KECS operation.
  5. 10” Garmin Tread Infotainment Display (TERYX4 H2 DELUXE / TERYX5 H2 DELUXE)
The TERYX4 H2 DELUXE and TERYX5 H2 DELUXE are equipped with a 10” Garmin Tread off-road navigation system. It also has group ride radio and audio system capability. The large-screen display built into the center console offers numerous display options, such as vehicle running information like speed and power modes, that are visible from the passenger seats, allowing passengers to share in the excitement when sport riding. Audio capability is complemented by front and rear speakers built into the doors and is augmentable by an accessory subwoofer.
