Grand Opening of Social Innovation Co-Creation Hub “CO-CREATION PARK - KAWARUBA”

Tokyo, November 6, 2024 — Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced today the grand opening of the new social innovation co-creation hub “CO-CREATION PARK - KAWARUBA” inside Haneda Innovation City in Ota Ward, Tokyo.
The Kawasaki Group is pursuing solutions to various issues faced by society in order to realize “Group Vision 2030: Trustworthy Solutions for the Future”. As part of these efforts, the Group has established CO-CREATION PARK - KAWARUBA as a place where diverse, driven individuals can come together in ways that transcend organizational boundaries, create new value together, and achieve real-world social implementation.
Based on two challenge themes, “living together with robots to realize a society that provides a happier and more enriched future for all” and “pioneering a new green society era through hydrogen and carbon neutrality solutions,” the facility will serve as a center for new projects aimed at developing solutions while carrying out proof-of-concept tests in a wide range of fields. Additionally, with consideration for the potential high demand for hydrogen in the coming years, efforts are underway on the nearby seacoast to build a supply framework for this resource in order to realize a hydrogen society. By taking advantage of the facility’s prime location, CO-CREATION PARK - KAWARUBA will serve as a center of co-creation in partnership with a diverse array of corporations, government agencies, municipalities, academic institutions and others based on project themes such as smart airports, smart cities and carbon neutrality, with the goal of fostering innovation that can change society in ways that affect the whole world.
