Temporary suspension of manufacturing Boeing787 Dreamliner Components

Tokyo, April 17, 2020-Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. has announced that it will temporarily stop manufacturing components for Boeing787 Dreamliner at their domestic factory. This decision was taken in light of the temporary manufacturing suspension of 787 production operations at the Boeing company affected by the spread of Covid-19 and the effects on the global supply chain. The production of other products will be continued.


Location:         Nagoya works 1 (Yatomi city, Aichi prefecture)
Suspension period: From April 20th to May 6th
Products:         Boeing787 Dreamliner components; the forward section of the fuselage, the main landing gear well, and the fixed trailing edge.
