Kawasaki Exhibits New Vulcan S at AIM Expo 2014

Tokyo, October 15, 2014 — Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced today that it will exhibit the Vulcan S, its new 2015 model for the North American market at AIM Expo 2014, a motorcycle show to be held in Florida for four days starting on October 16.

At this year's event, Kawasaki will showcase the Vulcan S, a mid-sized cruiser*1 fitted with a 649 cm3 engine. Designed to give not only experienced riders but also beginners, female, and shorter riders a safe, fun riding experience, the Vulcan S delivers excellent riding stability and allows the rider to get both feet on the ground for easy handling. Wrapped in a stylish package featuring the latest design trend, like an inverted triangular headlamp, the Vulcan S is coming with a wide range of Kawasaki Genuine Accessories, including such items as optional handlebars ,seats and adjustable foot pegs.

Kawasaki will also exhibit its Ninja H2R*2, a high-performance sport model equipped with a supercharged engine, the Versys 650, a middle-class sport bike that consistently delivers an exhilarating ride on any type of road, the Versys 1000, the highest-end model of the series, and other new models for 2015 unveiled at INTERMOT 2014*3.

Features of the New 2015 Model

Vulcan S

A mid-size entry model, the Vulcan S is the latest addition to Kawasaki's long-time selling Vulcan series of large displacement cruisers for the North American market. Designed for a wide range of users, from experienced riders to beginners, female, and shorter riders, the Vulcan S is built for easy handling. Its 649 cm3 liquid-cooled, four-stroke parallel twin cylinder engine delivers smooth but torquey performance for easy handling on city streets during start-up and at low cruising speeds. The slightly raised handlebar combined with a low seat, making for a relaxed, comfortable ride, makes the Vulcan S perfect for getting around town. Its long wheelbase ensures riding stability at high speeds while exterior elements incorporating the latest trend, like the inverted triangular headlamp and unique wheel design, give it a sophisticated, stylish look.
