Tokyo, November 19, 2013 — Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced today that it will launch the new ESTRELLA, a 250-cc classic sport bike, on January 20, 2014.
Great for long-distance touring on freeways as well as for getting around town, the 250-cc class is a perennial favorite. Many riders including novice and returning riders are finding these motorcycles suit their lifestyle perfectly.
Combining retro style with modern technology, the ESTRELLA is a fun-to-ride motorcycle with classic styling.
The ESTRELLA’s chromed fenders and exhaust system are perfectly complemented by the buffed engine cases and eye-catching tank badge. Classic lines, understated good looks and a mature personality – the ESTRELLA is an elegant machine for sophisticated riders.
A gutsy 249 cm3 air-cooled Single engine pumps out plenty of responsive torque at low and medium rpm. Mounted in a slim, lightweight chassis, the result is a friendly bike that’s as easy to ride as it is to look at.
This model will be exhibited at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013 to be held at Tokyo Big Sight for nine days starting on Saturday, November 23.

Chassis:
- The semi-double cradle frame has been adopted for a slim, lightweight chassis. - The elegant fuel tank design featuring a 3D emblem, an upright single cylinder and a peashooter-style silencer contribute to the classic looks.
- The front fork and engine covers feature a buffed finish, and the front and rear fenders and exhaust system come with chrome plating to give the bike a high quality appearance.
