Kawasaki Exhibits Z1000 and 15 Other Models at 2013 Tokyo Motor Show

The Z1000 is a Supernaked bike featuring radical styling and exciting riding performance that can be expressed by the word sugomi. Its design features add up to create a dynamic form that calls to mind the image of a hunting predator: a four-bulb LED headlamp positioned as low as possible to accentuate its intense glare, a bulging muscular fuel tank, and a sharply raised tail cowl. The 1,043 cm³ liquid-cooled, 4-stroke in-line four engine delivers increased acceleration performance and quick throttle response, while enhancing the sport riding experience with its powerful intake howl. The direct, sporty handling enabled by the advanced suspension system SFF-BP and by the unique layout that brings all mass closer to the center of gravity is sure to please even the most avid sport riders.

The Ninja 1000 has all the appeal of a supersport bike as well as practical functionality. The improved 1,043 cm3 liquid-cooled 4-stroke in-line four engine gives riders increased acceleration at mid-range speeds and fun of handling. The 399 cm³ liquid-cooled, four-stroke parallel twin engine enables enhanced performance in the low- to mid-range speeds and a direct throttle response. The Ninja 400 also offers remarkably sporty handling, enabled by its slimmer body achieved with the newly designed double-pipe frame, as well as suspensions designed to suit the new frame.
