Directors to Change

Tokyo, February 23, 2006 – Based on decisions made at the Board Meeting held today, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced management changes that will become effective April 1, 2006. On that date, Executive Officer Shinichi Tamba will succeed Senior Vice President Shinichi Morita as President of the Consumer Products & Machinery Company.

Tamba will be nominated as a Director at the Kawasaki shareholders' General Meeting in late June 2006. Subject to approval at the meeting, Tamba will then be appointed Senior Vice President. Morita will become a Director effective April 1, and in late June will resign that position to become an Advisor.
