Kawasaki Motors, Ltd.

Profile

Motorcycle & Engine Company is the sole division of Kawasaki that provides products directly to general consumers. The company manufactures a broad range of products, including motorcycle, off-road four wheeler, watercraft "JET SKI®", and general-purpose gasoline engines; and supplies them to markets around the world.

Motorcycle

Kawasaki Heavy Industries began producing its first motorcycle engines in 1953, putting to use the advanced development skills and the manufacturing knowhow gained through aircraft engine development, and has since produced many iconic machines such as the 500SS Mach-III, Z1 (900 Super Four), Ninja (GPz900R) and in recent years the supercharged Ninja H2. No matter the time period, Kawasaki has remained on the cutting edge of two-wheeled technology, always anticipating the needs of the market and creating products to meet them. This has built up strong brand recognition and a positive image for the Kawasaki.

Off-road four wheeler

Kawasaki’s off-road four wheeler see use in everything from practical tasks to leisure activities as they play a major part in enriching people’s daily lives. The lineup includes a wide array of machines to meet a variety of needs, such as the “Brute Force” series of ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles) that combine the fun of riding off road with superb utility, or the Teryx series of RUVs (Recreation Utility Vehicles) that show their strength when it comes to outdoor recreation like hunting, as they can cover large distances in wooded and open areas with powerful performance, and the MULE series of off-road four wheeler that are often the unsung heroes of farms and worksites everywhere.

Watercraft "JET SKI®"

The Jet Ski was born from Kawasaki Heavy Industry’s cutting edge technology and expertise gained through manufacturing ships and motorcycles. It is essentially a superbike on the water, with a flowing, elegant form that cuts through the waves and an engine that produces massive power. Its nimble maneuverability has led to it winning many titles in the PWC racing world. It is no surprise that Kawasaki, the pioneer of the PWC (Personal Watercraft) category, would have such a diverse lineup of watercraft, such as the flagship Ultra 310 series with their ample power and equipment, alongside the entry powerful sports STX 160, and the standard-sized SX-R.

General Purpose Engine
