Tokyo, October 3, 2012—Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced today that it will exhibit three new models for the European market at INTERMOT 2012*1, to be held in Cologne, Germany for five days starting on October 3.

Kawasaki will unveil Z800 as the successor to the Z750, a naked sport bike that is highly popular in the European market. The aggressive appearance of the front face and the sharp design of body parts make for a style that creates an impact. The greater power delivered by the displacement increase from 748 cm3 to 806 cm3 and the mature design of the chassis ensure a ride that is more exhilarating than ever.

The Ninja ZX-6R, a supersport model that commands a striking presence on race tracks around the world, has been fully revamped. The engine displacement has been increased from 599 cm3 to 636 cm3 to deliver superior performance across all rpm. Improved handling performance, advanced suspension and state-of-the-art electronic control technology, organically combined for the optimal performance, ensure the new Ninja ZX-6R will provide the perfect ride in every situation—ranging from the tracks to the winding road and the city.

A full faring sport model from the same series, the Ninja 300 will be added to the lineup as a full model change of the Ninja 250R. The larger-displacement 296 cm3 engine delivers greater power, and the aggressive design of the body is true to its lineage as a Ninja bike. Its excellent quality is the product of attention to the finest detail and commitment to the highest standard of workmanship. This is a model that will satisfy a wide range of users from novices to accomplished riders.

Z800

The Z750, a naked sport model that enjoys high popularity in the European market, has received a complete makeover. The all new Z800 is designed to provide a new level of exhilaration to the mid-size class. The liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-line Four engine has been enlarged from 748 cm3 to 806 cm3 to deliver increased torque across all rpm. In addition, the improved chassis performance ensures a sporty ride whether cruising the city streets or down a winding road. The aggressive design of the front face and the sharp features of the body parts create a powerful impression—like that of a beast unleashed onto the streets. Forty years after the launch of the Z1, the original naked model that Kawasaki is world-famous for, the ever-evolving Z family continues to delight fans around the world with its unique styling and outstanding performance.

Ninja ZX-6R

Ever since its debut, the supersport model Ninja ZX-6R has consistently earned high marks for its top-notch performance in race scenes around the world. The newly revamped 2013 model represents Kawasaki's latest efforts to offer a supersport bike for real world riding. The 636 cm3 liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-line Four engine offers a displacement increase of 37 cm3 for greater power across all rpm. With the new Ninja ZX-6R, riders will enjoy great usability in everyday riding situations as well as superior sport riding performance, thanks to the SFF-BP*2 advanced suspension, provided for the first time in a commercial model, coupled with the new Assist & Slipper Clutch. It also features cutting-edge electronic control technology, most notably the KTRC*3 and KIBS*4. The improved handling performance has added a new level of versatility to this model, guaranteed to deliver an exhilarating ride whether on the circuit , winding roads or city streets. The Ninja 250R, beloved by fans around the world, has gone through a full model change. The new Ninja 300 aspires to be a class-leading sport model. It offers a greatly improved riding performance, complemented by the high tensile steel frame, 140 mm rear tire and Assist & Slipper Clutch. The displacement of the liquid-cooled, 4-stroke Parallel Twin engine has been increased to 296 cm3 to ensure a smooth torque delivery in the low to mid-range rpm and strong acceleration at high rpm, providing a powerful feel that is sure to excite. The aggressive, low-riding design characteristic of the Ninja series is also present in the Ninja 300, which comes equipped with numerous parts for higher-end models, including the same dual headlights fitted on the Ninja ZX-6R.
