Issuance of Kawasaki's First Sustainability Bond
~Strengthening Sustainability Management to Realize Group Vision 2030~
Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. has issued its first sustainability bond. Based on the framework for financing, Kawasaki plans to use the funds raised through public offering in the domestic market for the dissemination of the automated robotic PCR testing system and for projects to build a clean hydrogen supply chain. Starting with the issuance of the Bond, Kawasaki will accelerate its financing activities by sustainable finance*. Kawasaki aims to realize the Group Vision 2030, which was set last year as the company’s future vision for 2030 and contribute to the achievement of a sustainable future society.
* A general term for financing by companies and businesses that contribute to environmental and social sustainability, such as sustainability bonds/loans and/or sustainability-linked bonds/loans.
