Tokyo, January 12, 2007 — Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced today that it will release its new fuel injection equipped 250TR in Japan on February 14, complying with the new emissions standards.

The 250TR fuses slim urban trail bike* styling with a simple black-painted 249-cc air-cooled four-stroke single cylinder engine. It has been the “it” vehicle among free-wheeling young riders since its launch in 2002.

The new 250TR has retained its same slim design but added cutting-edge environmental performance with improved operability.

Equipped with a fuel injection system and honeycomb catalyst structure to comply with the new emissions standards and to improve cold-start performance.
The width of the handlebar with a bridge is 30 mm shorter for improved operability when navigating city streets.

*Motorcycles that are designed mainly for riding on public roads but can also be ridden on off-road terrain.
