Kawasaki Donates Portable Generators to Quake-Hit Southeast Iran

To support the victims of the earthquake that hit the southeastern part of Iran in December 2003, Kawasaki is donating 80 portable generators to Iran’s Red Crescent Society through the coordination of the Iranian Embassy in Japan. In February, The generators were shipped by Kawasaki Motors Europe N.V., Kawasaki’s sales subsidiary in Europe, directly to Iran with the cooperation of Iran Air.

These portable generators, with general-purpose gasoline engines, include five types of maximum outputs ranging from 850W to 4,200W. They can be installed individually wherever needed and used as a power source for electric lamps, water pumps, machinery and many other applications.

Kawasaki makes this donation in the belief that the generators will enhance the lives of the quake victims and support the reconstruction activities.
