Kawasaki DX Featured at Microsoft Build 2022

Kawasaki’s initiative in the industrial metaverse field which the company promotes together in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation was introduced at Microsoft Build 2022※1 (May 24-26, 2022). Through this initiative, Kawasaki aims to build a new digital environment “Kawasaki Digital Platform” for robotics business, which can be used by customers and partners in a collaborative effort.

 

The video shown at "Microsoft Build 2022" introduces the company’s efforts to enable collaborative work on the metaverse and remote operation of robots utilizing a digital twin, using Microsoft products such as Microsoft Azure (cloud computing platform) and HoloLens (mixed reality headset). Kawasaki has established the Group Vision 2030※3 as its vision for the future by 2030 and has specified three areas where it will focus its efforts: “A Safe and Secure Remotely-Connected Society,” “Near-Future Mobility” and “Energy and Environmental Solutions”. To accelerate the realization of this Group Vision 2030, the company has launched its DX strategy “Kawasaki DX”, and the initiatives presented in the video are part of this DX strategy.
